TRAINING

Emergency incident pre-planning plays a vital role in ensuring employers and employees mitigate risk and have the necessary equipment and know how to act when an emergency situation occurs.

Whether you require an entire workforce trained in fire safety and fire extinguisher operation, a structured training programme for dedicated response teams or command and control tabletop learning, STP Fire & Rescue Services can deliver.

By utilising instructors with a wealth of local authority fire service and industry experience, we will ensure your personnel have the skills to respond effectively.

The STP team will travel the length and breadth of the UK to train your personnel at their place of work or can offer offsite training at a purpose-built training facility in the Glasgow area.

Course content is typically both classroom-based and practical and can be tailored to site-specific needs, ensuring compliance with corporate training objectives and policies as well as alignment with external emergency services.

We can also arrange advanced height rescue and certified first aid courses through longstanding partnerships with specialists in these sectors.

Classification of Fires / Fire Extinguisher / Fire Watch / Hot Works Training

Committed to sustainability, STP Fire & Rescue Services has invested in the latest digital fire safety training technology.

Our BULLSEYE Digital Fire Extinguisher Training System, combined with Misty electronic smoke goggles, provides realistic, practical fire safety training without carbonaceous smoke, fire-water run-off, foam or dry powder.

BULLSEYE extinguishers replicate the sound and discharge duration of real extinguishers, allowing personnel to practise safely and repeatedly.

Training can also take place indoors, within actual workplace risk areas, rather than outdoors where weather conditions can affect delivery.

The Misty electronic smoke goggles simulate reduced visibility without using actual smoke. Instructors can remotely adjust visibility levels, helping trainees develop confidence and awareness in simulated smoke-filled conditions.

This technology is included in our Classification of Fires, Fire Extinguisher, Fire Watch and Hot Works training, providing a cleaner, safer and more environmentally friendly training experience while reducing extinguisher replacement and clean-up costs.

Gas-powered live-fire training rigs remain available for customers who specifically require practical live-fire training.
